These are tools and software I use regularly and find valuable. These are likely lagging behind. I strive to update these every few months.

I used to use Dropbox for syncing between devices but over time decided to self-host my data. Syncthing is critical for keeping my notes in sync across multiple devices. It mostly contains data from my Obsidian notes with a smattering of other devices.

I started off using screen for many years and then switched to tmux. I control tmux through mostly a few aliases in my shell to create, attach and detach from sessions. I’m not sure if I’ll continue to use tmux in the coming years thanks to Mitchell Hashimoto’s Ghostty. Perhaps will still be useful for remote sessions. I’m yet to dig more into this. 😀
