The World Cup

If you're a cricket fan, you better had been keeping track of what happened at the World Cup this year. It was one of my favorite world cups since 2003 and I kept a tab on the scores and games for almost all the matches. This was also the first world cup since 2003 where I had a subscription for viewing the world cup. (I had the subscription for 2011 when in India but since the World Cup happened in India, I couldn't really follow much because ... *work*)

World Cup Checked

Ever since I started watching cricket (the 1996 world cup), I've always dreamt of India winning it. I wanted to cherish the emotions and feelings that would've ran through Kapil's Devils in '83. And here it is! After 15 years of wait (for me), the World Cup has come home.

My tribute to the game called Cricket

All these years you wanted to watch cricket, but you had exams of all sorts scheduled perfectly alongside the matches and all that you can do is peep in occasionally to watch that bottom bar for the score and if you overstay your welcome in to the TV room, you experience a bad feeling about tomorrow's exam and your legs automatically take you to the study room!

An elegy to my lost iPod Touch

__Day__: 2nd May, 2009 __Time__;: about 15:00 hrs __Place__: 401K Vijayanagara to Vidyaranyapura bus __Situation__: A crowded bus and I'm going to a relative's place. __Outcome__: A good 30 minutes into the journey, I come to know that my iPod has been stolen! __The Present__:

IPL 30

Hi folks! So, another edition of the Indian Premier League is under-way and the three games so far have been awesome. The first ball of the IPL fetched the wicket of Manoj Tiwary of KKR but yet KKR won, thanks to some excellent batting display by Owais Shah and Angelo Mathews. Deccan missed a golden opportunity and hopefully they'll bounce back. The next match saw some brutal hitting by the Mumbai Indians and of course a spirited run chase by Rajasthan Royals led by Yusuf Pathan. The next match, Delhi won pretty comfortably. Sad that Viru didn't get many runs.

A series well won

Merry Christmas to you all! The new year is round the corner and it is the time to make resolutions (if any). If you well, ask me about mine for the new year, I would blurt out "/etc/resolv.conf". (Why blood??? Aah.. Same blood..). I wish you all a very happy new year and puthu varshathulayaavathu konjam nalla pullayya irungappa. (enna maadhiri.. :P).

Indian Cricket Team - Asia Cup

Which team in the world would bundle out for 76 in just 20 overs after scoring a mammoth 627 in the previous innings? Which team would come back strongly to win a test at Perth against Australia after losing a couple of tests?  Which team would play some incredible 20-20 cricket but lose to a team like Bangladesh in ODI cricket? Which team would score 413 in a world cup game yet would not qualify to the Super 8s?
